Results of the 2016, 2020 and 2024 U.S. presidential elections. Each year is compared to the election before it. Alaska (and Connecticut in 2024) have no county-level figures that match the map, so those areas show the state-wide result. The 2016 county totals in the source file are incomplete for some states (for example California), so its national totals are lower than the official ones. Maine and Nebraska award their electoral votes by congressional district (2 state-wide, 1 per district); the 2016 district votes are estimated from published percentages.
